Niccolo Coturri Moon Bloom 2023
Madeleine Angevine
A salty, tangy, crisp white made from the grape Madeleine Angevine, a grape that grows exceptionally well here in the Puget Sound. With gentle coaxing, Madeleine can transform into a layered, mineral-driven beverage that brings us back to the first Muscadet bottlings we drank in the early 2010s from winemakers like Marc Olivier and Luneau-Papin.
In addition to being delicious, we have such a strong connection to this wine, as the third and penultimate release of the 2023 vintage from the vineyard we farm on Lopez Island. A vineyard we are now near completing our fourth season of farming in, having spent the seasons from cold January pruning days to late summer nights in the vineyard with our kids, tending the growth of this lovely place.
Enjoy ice cold with seafood, or room temperature straight from your backpack after a long summer’s hike through the hills. An extremely versatile, people pleasing wine.
